UMAREX was founded in 1972 as the “UMA Mayer & Ussfeller GmbH” and first served the market for tear-gas and signal pistols and then air rifles, too. This was followed by the acquisition of the “Reck Sportwaffenfabrik Karl Arndt.” UMA was first reorganized as UMARECK and then as UMAREX.
